ABOUT
Loudermilk Jordan is a full service, boutique interior design firm, based out of New York City.
Principals Chappell Loudermilk and Zeke Jordan embrace classical architecture and historic design, creating spaces that feel timeless, while being effortlessly comfortable and functional. Their new traditional interiors embrace the past while looking towards the future, marrying old and new.
With a focus on how each client lives and their preferred aesthetic, Loudermilk Jordan crafts custom interior spaces, guiding the process from start to finish. With a background in architecture, the firm is heavily involved in the construction and architectural details of the home. Working closely with all team members to seamlessly unify the furnishings, millwork and finishes, Loudermilk Jordan ensures each environment comes together harmoniously.
Chappell and Zeke worked for the venerable Steven Gambrel of S.R. Gambrel Inc. for a combined period of fifteen years before launching Loudermilk Jordan in 2022. With 20 years of industry experience, the two have worked on a wide variety of projects in both the US and internationally of all scales and types, from Malibu beach homes, to NYC townhomes to country estates and beyond.
Currently the firm is working on projects in Atlanta, New York City, St. Simons and the North Fork of Long Island.
Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia Chappell Loudermilk was exposed to beautiful, well-executed spaces at a young age, providing the groundwork for her career in the design world. Interning for Huff-Dewberry, LLC in high school, Chappell went on to attend the University of Georgia and earned her BS in Furnishings & Interiors. During her time there she spent time in Florence, Italy studying art and architecture. In 2014, she moved to New York City, interning for the prestigious Cullman & Kravis Inc. before joining AD100 design firm S.R. Gambrel Inc. Here she served as a designer and project manager at the firm for projects in Manhattan, Chicago, the Hamptons, Malibu, the Bahamas, Florida and private boats. Working closely with Steven Gambrel formulated her fresh approach to color and composition in creating spaces that reflect, support and enhance the lifestyles of today, while embracing the history of each individual home. In 2022, Chappell partnered with fellow S.R. Gambrel veteran Zeke Jordan, launching their firm Loudermilk Jordan, LLC.

Zeke Jordan
Throughout his career, Zeke Jordan has always asked, what is the story of a space? How does the placement of a family heirloom or a custom chair invite people into communion and conversation with one another? How do we live inside history?
Born and raised on the South Carolina coast, Zeke gravitates to timeless, but warm and toney decor. Zeke completed his tenure at Asheville School in North Carolina before obtaining undergraduate and graduate degrees in architecture at Tulane University, along with minor degrees in historic preservation, art history, and urban studies. The atmosphere of New Orleans further underscored Zeke’s appreciation of, and interest in, resplendent colors, textures, and geometries with elegant inflections.
While at Tulane, Zeke interned for design-build firm SYNCinc Architecture in Vienna, Austria for three consecutive summers. Additionally, he spent six months in Rome, wedding his love for classical architecture with antiques and Italian design. After graduating, Zeke worked with contemporary architect and designer Lee Ledbetter, a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, before moving to New York in 2012 to work alongside AD100 Frank de Biasi. During this time, Zeke tackled international projects with moxie and aplomb in both Philadelphia and Morocco, as well as a restaurant in London’s St. James neighborhood.
Two years later, Zeke joined the interior design team of S.R. Gambrel, Inc., where he managed projects throughout the US, including Texas, Florida, Chicago, and California. Since 2022, Zeke has partnered with Chappell Loudermilk to form Loudermilk Jordan, LLC where he specializes in high end residential interiors and hospitality. Zeke derives inspiration from his love of travel, nature, and Georgian as well as vernacular architecture.
